On This Day history topics and locations
Light-hearted but educational recordings of live shows from UK festivals. Stand-up comedians demonstrate their knowledge of history by presenting their own 'on this day' topic in front of a live audience while host Richard Pulsford tests their knowledge with his own selections, before the panel look into the history of the place where the show is taking place.
The 2026 recordings will be published fortnightly (every other Thursday) from September and will feature shows from Leicester, Derby, Scarborough, Barnstaple, Shaftesbury, Ventnor, Durham and two from Edinburgh, with further shows tbc.
